ICOM Mast-
Mounted Preamps

Icom offers a variety of optional weatherproof, mast-mounted preamplifiers for use with select ICOM transceivers. These preamplifiers improve S/N ratios and receiver sensitivity to improve DX communications. No power cable wiring is necessary since the coaxial cable is also used to carry the DC voltage and T/R switching signals. A low noise-figure and high gain GaAs-FET is incorporated to provide excellent performance as a low-noise microwave amplifier. The durable acrylic plastic cover and stainless steel mounting hardware ensures years of dependable service. Please carefully check your ICOM transceiver owner's manual, and the chart below, to verify the preamp is compatible with your particular model.

The input and output impedance on all models 50 ohms. These preamps will mount on any mast (not supplied) between 1 and 2.3 inches (26-60 mm).
